Jeet Kune-Do is the only non-classical style of Chinese Kung Fu in existence today. It is simple in its execution, although not so simple to explain. There is no mystery about my style. My movements are simple, direct and non-classical.

截拳道的宗旨是透過訓練及紀律達到極真的格鬥本質. 截拳道是以一個非典型的型態所存在的中國武術. 執行上簡捷, 但不容易具体敘述. 我的風格沒什麼秘密, 就是簡單, 直接, 打破傳統.

I have not invented a "new style," On the contrary, I hope to free my followers from clinging to styles, patterns, or molds. Remember that Jeet Kune Do is merely a name used, a mirror in which to see "ourselves" Jeet Kune Do is not an organized institution that one can be a member of.

我並不是在發明一個「新的武術門派」相反的我希望能讓我的學生從墨守成規固定模式的束縛中解放出來. 切記截拳道只是個稱謂, 一個讓我們找到自己的借鏡. 截拳道更不是一個組織能讓人們來參與加入.

Jeet Kune-Do is simply the direct expression of one's feelings with the minimum of movements and energy. The closer to the true way of Kung Fu, the less wastage of expression there is.

截拳道是最簡節直接的方式, 且最少的動作及能量來表達個体的感覺. 越少的耗損和浪廢, 越是接近功夫的真意.
